American Express (Amex) has rolled out a new offer wherein it’s offering 2X membership reward points on all online spends. Amex recently launched double rewards offer on Amex Platinum Card and a similar offer was expected on other cards too. Amex didn’t disappoint the card members and rolled out this offer on Platinum Reserve, Platinum Travel and Jet Airways Platinum Credit Card. Let’s look in to the details to know more.

- Offer: 2X Membership Reward Points on all online spends
- Period: 1st May 2020 to 31st May 2020
- Type: Targeted, applicable only if communication received from Amex, Register here to participate in offer
- Applicable Cards: American Express Platinum Reserve, American Express Platinum Travel or Jet Airways American Express Platinum Credit Card
- Minimum Spend: Rs. 10,000
- Maximum Reward Points: 1,000
- Fulfillment: Bonus reward points would be credited by 31st August 2020
- Other T&C:
- Transactions going through merchant platforms only will be eligible for bonus reward points, transactions going through an aggregator (like Paypal, Paytm, PayU etc.) may not trigger bonus reward points.
- Not valid on American Express Corporate Cards.

Bottomline
This is a decent offer from Amex and to maximize the benefit you need to spend Rs. 50,000 on American Express Platinum Reserve and American Express Platinum Travel Card and Rs. 18,750 on Jet Airways American Express Platinum Credit Card. However personally I feel Amex could have done better by rolling out the Double Value Offer on these cards too to make this offer even better.
Also Amex Gold and Membership Rewards Credit Card are excluded from this offer which is utterly disappointing. I hope Amex will roll out a similar offer on these cards too very soon.
